A rod pod is a freestanding rod rest that you can set up on stony banks, gravel and wooden platforms. Your bite alarms and butt rests fit onto it, so the rods stay aligned and balanced. In this group you will find rod pods and the accessories to complete them.

The first question is how many rods you use. Most rod pods are designed for three or four rods, and the width of the buzz bar decides how close together the rods sit.
Adjustable legs matter when the bank is sloping or uneven. The longer and sturdier the legs, the more stable the pod stays, even on a high bank. A light pod that goes together quickly is a good choice if you move around a lot and change swims often.
The length of the pod frame affects whether long and short rods can share the same setup. In rod pod accessories you will find extension pieces, extra legs and carry bags, among other things, so you can adapt the pod to your own needs.
When you fish with tight lines, make sure the pod stands firmly and the rear legs are pressed well into the ground. That way it will not topple over, even on a screaming take.
