What do you need for a long session on the bank?

When fishing goes on through the night or the whole weekend, hot food and drinks keep you going. A stove, cookware and a kettle cover coffee and simple meals, while a bivvy table or cook station gives you a stable, level surface to cook on. A cook station keeps the stove, pans and food in one place, so the camp stays tidy and everything is easy to find. Always use a stove in the open air, never inside the bivvy.

Phones, headlamps, bite alarm receivers and bait boats all need power. A power bank charges small devices, and a larger power station lasts longer and handles more devices. A solar panel tops up charge during the day, and USB accessories let you connect everything to the same source, so your devices keep working for the whole session away from the mains.

After dark, good lighting is a safety matter. A headlamp leaves your hands free for playing fish and tying rigs, a bivvy light lights up the inside of the shelter and a lantern lights the whole camp. Red light preserves your night vision and does not disturb other anglers. Rechargeable lights can be topped up from the same power bank as your other devices.

Water carriers bring drinking and washing water, and hygiene products keep your hands clean between handling bait, fish and food. Clean hands matter for the fishing too, as unfamiliar smells can transfer to your hookbaits.
