This section covers line spoolers and line loaders for putting new line on a reel evenly. They make re-spooling easier for feeder, match and float anglers who change line often or load several reels at once.

Hand-loaded line often ends up slack or twisted, which causes tangles and costs you distance. A line spooler holds the bulk spool steady and applies even drag, so line goes on tight and straight.
Adjustable tension is the key feature. Fine mono goes on with moderate tension, braid tighter so it does not bed into the layers below.
Check that the spooler takes both small and large bulk spools and whether it fixes to a table or to the rod.
Fill the spool to a couple of millimetres below the lip. An overfilled spool throws loops, while an underfilled one shortens your cast.
