A barrow takes your bivvy, bedchair, rods and bags to the swim in one trip. In this group you will find single and multi-wheel barrows as well as electric barrows. The right choice depends on how much gear you carry and the ground you fish on.

A single-wheel barrow is narrow and nimble on tight paths, boardwalks and through gates. You do have to balance the load yourself, so pack the heaviest items close to the wheel and the lighter bags on top.
Two-wheel and multi-wheel barrows stand steady and spread the weight more evenly. They handle heavy loads well, and wide tyres cope better with soft ground, sand and mud. A stable barrow also stays upright when you leave it standing on a sloping bank.
An electric barrow eases the work with a motor. It is a good choice when the walk to the swim is long, the path climbs or you are carrying a lot of kit for a multi-day session.
Before choosing, check the folded size of the barrow against the boot of your car and the size of the load bed against your own bags. A folding frame also makes storage at home and over the winter easier.
