Westin W6 Boat-T Baitfish 5'8" 50lb max 500g is a heavy-duty boat rod for bait fishing with whole or cut bait. It is built primarily for halibut and large cod, and it also handles big coalfish, ling and other heavy saltwater species. Length is 1.73 m, class 5XH and line class 50 lb, with a casting weight of up to 500 g.
The blank is made of Torayca 30T + T1100 carbon with the power to handle heavy baits and big fish. The fast action gives controlled rig presentation, while the sensitive tip shows even the slightest bites and helps circle hooks set smoothly.
The Fuji PKWSG guides are mounted as an Acid Wrap spiral guide system for better stability in the fight and reduced line friction. The second guide is angled slightly in the opposite direction to balance the blank under load, and the first guide is raised so the line does not cut into the foregrip or rest against the fingers.
The EVA handles give a secure grip and protect the blank in a rod holder. The rear handle is shaped to rest against the edge of the holder, and the rubberised cross butt keeps the rod stable.
