Penn Squadron IV Boat Travel Cast 7' 12-20lb is a 4-piece travel boat rod for conventional reels. Length is 2.10 m, action fast and line rating 12-20 lb.
The 4-piece blank is made of High Modulus 24T carbon. It is slim yet very powerful and strong. The rod is suited to wreck drifting with lures as well as general bottom fishing for cod, ling and pollock. The heavier models in the series are also well suited to targeting halibut in Norway.
The travel rods have the same handle lengths as the regular boat rods in the series, and the handle and reel seat positions are unchanged. Only the blank is split into four pieces, making the rod easy to transport.
The rod is fitted with PENN's one-piece Dura-Guide guides made of stainless steel, which accommodate all line types. The guides are extremely tough and resilient, offering good protection against knocks. The rod has an ergonomically shaped, easy to clean high-density EVA handle and a gimbal butt with cover.
