Penn Overseas XT II Halibut 7' 30-50lb is a three-piece boat rod purpose-made for halibut fishing from a boat in big fish destinations such as Norway. Length is 2.10 m (7'), line rating 30-50 lb, power Extra Heavy and action Fast.
The tip is slightly softer than on normal boat rods for bite detection, while the brutal backbone can lift a big halibut from the depths.
Stainless steel guide frames with Fuji Alconite rings are made to last season after season. The blank is made of high modulus carbon with X-wrap carbon technology. The ergonomically shaped high-density EVA handle gives a solid grip through long days and intense fights, even in freezing temperatures. A Cordura travel tube is included.
