Westin W8 Rockshore Apex Predator LR 9'6" 50-120g is a shore jigging rod for rockshore fishing with heavy lures. Length is 2.90 m, casting weight 50-120 g, class MHH and action fast.
LR stands for the Low Rider multi-guide system, where the guides are positioned for controlled line management and fewer tangles even in strong side winds. The setup also improves lure feedback.
The blank contains a high volume of Toray T1100 GC carbon along with T800 and M40JB, so the rod is light yet powerful. It handles hardbaits, jigs and soft lures, and the light build allows long sessions without fatigue.
The rod is fitted with Fuji SiC guides on gunsmoke frames, a Fuji DPS reel seat and a Fuji BRC rubber butt end.
