Westin W4 W-SW 10000 is a saltwater spinning reel for powerful, fast-running warm water species. In size 10000 the gear ratio is 4.9:1, line capacity 0.65 mm / 439 m and maximum drag 21 kg.
The body and rotor are rigid aluminium (K-Alloy), so they do not flex under heavy load and the gears stay aligned. The reel has 5+1 sealed stainless ball bearings, 14 seals and an IPX5 rating. The sealed stainless instant anti-reverse engages the moment a fish strikes.
The main gear is CNC machined hard brass for handling big game, and the sealed Carbon Matrix drag has five washers. The bail is closed manually (manual bail trip).
The forged, double anodised aluminium spool is braid-ready and resists corrosion. The machined aluminium handle has a non-slip TPE knob, and the reel also features a rotor brake.
