Penn Tidal XT Long Cast 7000 is a big pit-style surfcasting reel designed first and foremost for long distance casting. Size 7000 has a gear ratio of 4.8:1 and a max drag of 12 kg.
The body and rotor are made of rigid and lightweight XRC carbon, and the durable CNC gear is machined from premium metals. The sealed, waterproof drag with HT-100 carbon washers keeps water, dirt and sand out.
The Rocket Spool is shaped to make long and accurate casts easier. X-Slow Leveline technology lays more than 50 wraps of line per spool oscillation, giving an even line lay that flows freely from the spool and makes retrieving long casts easier.
The reel runs on 9+1 sealed ball bearings, and the Quick Drag system switches quickly between free spool and drag. An aluminium spare spool and two sets of line reducers are included, so you never need to use more line than necessary.
