Penn Tidal Elite Long Hybrid LR Spinning 14' 100-250g is the flagship of the Penn Tidal surfcasting concept: a three-piece surf rod with a length of 4.20 m, casting weight 100-250 g, Heavy power and Fast action.
The extremely light blank is made of 50T carbon with a Triaxial Multidirectional Weave structure. The combination gives the blank a fast recovery speed that shows in the casting distance. The rod was developed together with European experts and tested both in the lab and in the field.
Lightweight stainless steel Fuji LR-type frames (lowrider) with Fuji Alconite rings keep the rod from being weighed down by heavy guides. According to the manufacturer, the LR models with lowrider guides have two tip options: a short tip for super sensitive bite detection even at long range, and a longer, stiffer tip for harsh conditions in rough weather.
The reel seat is a Fuji DPSSD and the handle has an X-Shrink tube. Rubber-coated joints give a better grip, and alignment dots make lining up the sections easy. The rod is delivered in a soft cloth bag for protection during transport.
