Penn Surfblaster IV Long Cast 8000 Silver is a long cast spinning reel for surfcasting from the shore, for example for bass, flatfish and mullet. Size 8000 has a gear ratio of 4.3:1 and a max drag of 12 kg. Size 8000 holds more line and is made for maximum casting distance.

The Slow Leveline oscillation lays up to 50 wraps of line per oscillation, so the line leaves the spool cleanly and the cast carries further with less effort.

The rigid XRC carbon body and rotor keep the gears aligned under load, and the main gear is metal. The drag is sealed, and the 3+1 bearing system uses stainless steel bearings for salt and sand.
