Penn Slammer IV 4500HS is a heavy-duty saltwater spinning reel with an IPX6 sealed body and spool. Size 4500 has a gear ratio of 7.0:1 and a max drag of 13.6 kg. The HS model is the high-speed version (standard model 6.2:1).
The reel features a full metal body and sideplate and a brass main gear made with CNC Gear technology. It runs on an 8+1 stainless steel bearing system and a Hydrophobic line roller bearing.
The sealed, bearing-supported Slammer drag with Dura-Drag washers runs smoothly and offers a wide usable drag range. The bail trips automatically, and the handle can be switched for right or left hand retrieve. A spare EVA handle knob is included.
