Mitchell MX Surf 8000 is a compact surfcasting spinning reel with a Mediterranean design touch. Size 8000 has a gear ratio of 4.3:1 and a max drag of 7 kg, and the handle can be switched between right and left.

The reel runs on 9+1 bearings and is greased with Penn grease for a very smooth gear feel. The body and rotor are lightweight graphite, and the diecast aluminium handle adds strength.

Precise felt drag washers give a smooth drag. A graphite spare spool is included.
