Distance & River Feeder Rods
Distance and river feeder rods are long, powerful blanks for heavy feeders. Use them to reach fish feeding far out on big lakes or to hold bottom in strong current for bream, ide, chub and big roach.

Distance rods are typically 3.9-4.5 m long with casting weights of 90-150 g. The extra length keeps line high and gives the leverage needed to put a feeder beyond 60 metres.
On rivers, backbone is everything. The rod has to keep a heavy feeder anchored while the tip copes with constant pressure from the flow. A stiff carbon tip and a high rod rest keep as much line out of the water as possible.
Pair the rod with fine braid or thin mono and a heavier shock leader to absorb the stress of casting a heavy feeder.
A big-pit style reel with a long, shallow spool completes the setup, retrieving quickly and adding extra distance.
