Match, Float & Reel Angling Rods

Which rod suits float fishing with a reel?

Match and waggler rods are long, light rods that cast a light float accurately and cushion a fish's movements on fine line. Pellet waggler rods are stiffer and made for fishing pellets near the surface when you are targeting carp and other big fish.

A Bolognese rod is a long telescopic rod used to run a float downstream with the current. Its length lets you steer the line and keep the float on the right path, even further from the bank.

Whitefish rods are made for float fishing for whitefish, and their length helps you guide the float in currents and reach deeper water from the shore. Telescopic reel rods are an easy, compact choice for the cabin, the jetty and the boat.

Choose the length to suit your swim: a longer rod controls the line better, while a shorter one is handier in tight spots and under overhanging trees.
