Rod rests keep the rod steady and bite indication clear. In this group you will find feeder arms, front and back rests, banksticks and rod holders with a ground spike. Which to choose depends on whether you are fishing from a seatbox, the bank or a jetty.

A feeder arm is an important accessory for the feeder angler. It attaches to a seatbox leg or a bankstick and lets you set the quiver tip at exactly the right angle to the line and the wind. With the tip steady at eye level, even the smallest pull is easy to spot.
Front and back rests hold the rod securely in place when ledgering. The back rest stops the butt from sliding, and the shaped head of the front rest keeps the rod in position while letting the line run freely. Banksticks are pushed into the ground and take rest heads or bite alarms.
Rod holders with a ground spike are a quick, lightweight solution for the lakeside, the jetty and short trips. They work best in soft ground.
Check that the threads on your rests are compatible, so you can combine arms, rest heads and banksticks freely. A long bankstick is a good choice on a steep bank where the rod needs to sit high above the water.
