What are bait preparation tools used for?

A pellet pump is a container with a lid that uses a vacuum to draw water or liquid quickly into the pellets. Hard pellets soften evenly in a few minutes, and you can add flavour at the same time. Pumped pellets work well on the hook or as feed in a method feeder.

A crusher turns pellets, boilies or particles into finer feed. Crushed bait releases its scent faster and attracts fish without filling them up too quickly, which helps keep them searching in the swim for longer.

A bait drill makes a hole in hard hookbaits such as pellets and boilies so they are easy to thread onto a hair. Using a drill of the right size stops the bait from splitting when you mount it.

Keep your tools clean after each session, so old bait residue does not spoil the next batch. A quick rinse and a dry place to store them will keep them working well for years.
