How attractors put more fish on the hook

Deep on the seabed light is scarce, and fish find food through sight, colour and vibration. A glow component charges in light and shows up in the gloom, while a spinner blade adds flash and vibration.

In Norway a rubber worm on a dropper above the pirk is standard, and cod and pollock often take it more readily than the pirk itself. It also works ahead of a heavy jig.

Garfish silk is tied behind a casting lure. The garfish's long beak tangles in the fibres and the fish is held without a hook.

Try different colours until you find what works on the day.
