At the end of a session a keepnet is wet and covered in slime, mud and weed. Packed in its own bag, it leaves the rest of your kit and the car boot clean and dry.
A net bag also takes landing net heads. Many anglers carry several heads so they can choose the right one for the venue and the target species. Some bags have separate compartments for the keepnet and the landing net.
Choose a bag to fit the size of your keepnet and go for a waterproof material. At home, take the nets out and dry them properly so the mesh does not start to smell or go mouldy. Dry nets also help stop weed and small organisms being carried from one water to another. It is worth rinsing and drying the bag itself from time to time as well, so it stays in good shape season after season.
