Savotta Varjelus PALS Placard M05

Savotta Varjelus PALS Placard M05 is an interchangeable front panel designed for the Varjelus plate carrier. The front flap features PALS webbing, allowing various magazine pouches and other PALS-compatible equipment to be attached according to the user’s needs.

The placard has a four-row PALS webbing height, making it suitable for use with long AK magazine pouches. AK magazine pouches are typically four rows of webbing high, whereas common AR15 magazine pouches are usually three rows high. On placards that are three rows of webbing high, long AK magazine pouches may hang below the bottom edge of the carrier, which this design helps prevent. The placard is also suitable for attaching shorter magazine pouches.

Attachment is achieved using low-profile G-hooks and hook-and-loop fastening. The G-hooks are attached with One-Wrap hook-and-loop straps, allowing them to be easily replaced with Side Release-style quick-release buckles if needed. Pull tabs at the lower corners make it easier to open the front flap and tighten the hook-and-loop fastening when closing it.

Webbing loops on the sides add to the system’s versatility. They can be fitted with split-bar quick-release buckles as well as Tubes and ROC solutions, allowing the attachment method to be adapted to the rest of the equipment setup.
