Savotta Valjas Slim Belt Pad S-M Green is a green, relatively narrow and thin belt pad for standard 45?50 mm wide belts. It provides sufficient padding for lightweight belt setups, while the friction lining helps prevent unwanted belt rotation and vertical movement.
The pad features two layers of sturdy 4 mm closed-cell foam. The body-facing side is made from rubberised friction fabric, helping keep the setup more securely in place. The outer material is 500D Cordura made entirely from polyamide, while the webbing is 100% polyester.
Flat, 60 mm wide belt loops are made from 25 mm webbing, with 25 mm wide gaps between them. This construction enables the horizontal attachment of PALS-compatible pouches. For example, a magazine pouch with a first aid insert can be attached to the rear of the belt pad.
The design is simple, versatile and compatible with virtually any belt that fits through the loops. The S-M size is 70 cm long and 8.5 cm wide, and weighs 140 g. All colour options offer good NIR camouflage properties.
The belt pad is intended for moderate equipment loads, such as a few throwables and a rifle magazine, a first aid kit and tourniquet, a water bottle, or a pistol and a few magazines. Additional support can be achieved by using suspenders to distribute the weight. For very heavy loads, a thicker and wider pad may be a more suitable option.
The S-M, M-L and L-XL size labels are indicative. The S-M version is 70 cm long, the M-L version 80 cm and the L-XL version 95 cm. Sizing works best when there is an approximately 15?30 cm wide gap between the ends of the pad at the front.
To determine the correct size, the user should dress in the same way as when using the belt pad, including their trouser belt. Measure the circumference at the height where the belt will be worn, usually just above the hips. For example, if the circumference is 100 cm, the S-M size leaves a 30 cm gap at the front, while the M-L size leaves a 20 cm gap. In this example, M-L is the recommended size.
