Leica Geovid Max 10x42 is a rangefinder binocular for long-range hunting and precision shooting. It combines 42 mm Perger-Porro optics, a laser rangefinder measuring up to 7,500 m and an onboard Applied Ballistics Professional calculator in one device, so observing the target, ranging and calculating the shooting correction are handled without any additional equipment. This version comes in Flat Dark Earth (FDE).
The rangefinder measures approximately 7,500 m on reflective targets, approximately 4,200 m on trees and approximately 2,650 m on deer. Measuring accuracy is +/-0.5 m below 183 m and +/-1 m up to 915 m. Three target modes, First, Best and Last, help distinguish the intended target from vegetation in front of or behind it, and scanning mode measures continuously every 0.25 seconds.
The new active-matrix MicroLED display (640 x 480) is bright and can be customized to your needs without compromising optical performance. Barometric pressure, temperature, inclination and compass sensors feed the ballistic calculator, which shows equivalent horizontal range (EHR), corrections in clicks or units, holdover and Shot Probability Analysis (SPA). Via Bluetooth the binocular connects to the Leica Ballistics App for custom ballistic profiles, BaseMap maps, Leica ProTrack GPS guidance and Kestrel and Garmin devices.
The magnesium housing is nitrogen filled and watertight to 5 m. HDC multilayer coating and AquaDura coating keep the image bright and the lenses easy to clean. A single CR2 battery provides approximately 2,000 measurements. The binocular weighs approximately 1,040 g without battery.
