The KynSHOT RB5000HP High Performance is a hydraulic recoil buffer for over-gassed AR-15 rifles and 9 mm radial delayed blowback systems such as those from CMMG. It is optimized for a Mil-Spec carbine buffer tube (7" / 177.8 mm internal depth), works with any standard buffer spring and installs as a direct drop-in replacement for the standard buffer.
Adding a suppressor to an AR-15 increases back pressure and often results in harsher cycling. Compared to the RB5000, the RB5000HP has enhanced damping designed for these over-pressure setups and for larger bore calibers such as .50 Beowulf, .458 SOCOM and .450 Bushmaster.
The patented hydraulic design absorbs the energy of the bolt carrier's rearward movement and helps prevent bolt bounce. According to the manufacturer, felt recoil is reduced by 30% or more, muzzle rise is minimized and the sight picture returns faster. The buffer is made from 17-4 stainless steel throughout.

Extra damping for harsh cycling makes the RB5000HP a good match for a suppressed or over-gassed AR-15.
Note: The RB5000HP is not for direct blowback pistol caliber carbines; for those, the manufacturer recommends the RB5007, RB5015HD or RB5020SS. With CMMG radial delayed blowback firearms, use a carbine buffer tube or the factory tube supplied with the firearm; with an A5 buffer tube, the RB5007 or RB5015HD is recommended.
