The KynSHOT PB6004 Hydraulic Guide Rod is a hydraulically damped recoil spring guide rod for Glock 17 Gen 5 pistols. It is a direct drop-in replacement for the standard guide rod assembly that requires no changes to the firearm, and its damper controls both the movement and the speed of the slide.
The patented, self-compensating damping adapts to different types of ammunition, and the guide rod needs no tuning. According to the manufacturer's testing, it reduces total recoil motion by over 70% and brings shot recovery time down to under 0.5 seconds, compared to 1.5 seconds or more with a standard guide rod. The slower slide movement also reduces wear on the firearm and optic vibration.
The guide rod is made from 17-4 stainless steel throughout and uses Mil-Spec hydraulic fluids and seals.
