Gerber Armbar Trade Burnt Orange is a compact multi-tool that packs the functionality of a full-sized tool into a folding, workmate-style form. Armbar Trade is designed especially for professionals who need a reliable and versatile tool on the worksite, but it serves equally well in everyday life at home, on car trips or in small workshop tasks.
At the core of the tool is a 6.4 cm long plain blade that adapts to various cutting tasks. The blade locks firmly in place for the duration of use with a frame lock locking mechanism, which is one of the most reliable folding knife locking methods. The lock only releases intentionally, so the blade cannot accidentally fold in the middle of work.
Armbar Trade includes an extension screwdriver designed with professional use in mind, which uses standard 6.4 mm bits. The included double-sided bit covers the most common screw types, but you can also use your own bits as needed. The extended structure brings additional reach into tight spots.
In addition, you have an awl for making holes, a saw for cutting smaller branches and pieces of wood, and a handy combination tool that works as both a bottle opener and a small pry bar at your disposal. A hammer face also provides the option for small impact work, for example for nails or small pegs.
The frame is made of stainless steel, which withstands worksite use and retains its appearance for a long time. A sturdy pocket clip enables the tool to be carried in a trouser pocket or belt loop, keeping it always within reach.
Open, the tool measures 16.5 cm and folded 9.2 cm. Width is 1.8 cm and weight 88 grams.
