Geissele Super Precision T1 Mount is a red dot mount developed specifically for the Aimpoint T1 and similarly mounted red dot optics. The mount is precision machined from a single piece of high-strength 7075-T6 aluminum and is available in three heights: Absolute Co-Witness, Lower 1/3 Co-Witness and 1.93" (49 mm).
It uses Geissele's update of the classic nut and bolt method, attaching the optic to the firearm with 1,400 lb (approx. 635 kg) of clamping force. Three shear lugs keep the mount rigid and help the optic return to zero.
Co-witness lets you use your iron sights through a non-magnified optic, for example if the optic fails. With an Absolute Co-Witness mount the iron sights appear in the center of the optic, with a Lower 1/3 Co-Witness mount in the bottom third of the view.
