Aimpoint COA-R 3,5 MOA is an ultra-compact, tubeless 1x red-dot sight developed specifically for hunting rifles. A 3.5 MOA dot, 48 g sight-only weight and open sight picture support fast target acquisition with both eyes open in both close and longer hunting situations.
COA-R uses Aimpoint's A-CUT mounting interface. On rifles it can be combined with a wide range of Micro mounts by using the separate A-CUT adapter plate APPA000700. The adapter plate is sold separately, so the required mounting solution should be confirmed before ordering.
Aimpoint describes the mechanically locked A-CUT system as designed for stable and repeatable mounting. When using the Micro ecosystem, solutions are available for platforms such as Picatinny and Tikka T3/T3x through compatible Micro mounts. This is useful for shooters who already use Aimpoint Micro mounting hardware.
Battery life is rated at 50,000 hours, or more than five years, from one CR2032 battery. There are 12 brightness settings: four night-vision compatible and eight daylight settings. The sight is submersible to 5 m, while 1x magnification and unlimited eye relief support rapid use from different shooting positions.
Overall dimensions are approximately 45 x 28 x 30 mm. A CR2032 battery and tool are included. COA-R is a fast rifle red dot rather than a magnified optic, so the most important buying question is choosing the correct A-CUT or Micro-based mounting solution.
