Okuma Cavalla CAV-5II is a right-handed, two-speed conventional reel for saltwater fishing and heavy-duty angling. It is designed to withstand demanding conditions and heavy loads, while its rigid 6061-T6 aluminium frame and left side plate provide a solid foundation for fighting powerful fish.
The reel’s two gear ratios, 4.7:1 and 2.1:1, enable fast line retrieval as well as more powerful, controlled cranking under load. The main gear and pinion gear made from 17-4 grade stainless steel support drivetrain durability, while four stainless steel ball bearings ensure quiet and smooth operation.
The Carbonite drag system delivers a maximum drag output of 11 kg. Smooth and supple drag performance is ensured by Cal's Universal Drag Grease. The lever drag model features an OnOff clicker that can be engaged or disengaged as needed.
The cold-forged and anodised aluminium spool combines strength with controlled weight. The reel frame is protected by a CRC corrosion-resistant coating, supporting reliable use in marine environments. The Ergo Grip handle knob on the anodised aluminium handle provides a secure and comfortable grip while cranking.
