Daiwa 26 Ryoga SV 100 is a round-profile baitcasting reel made in Japan for anglers who value precise cranking feel, rigid construction and controlled casting. The 100-size braking concept uses SV Concept and SV BOOST, designed to work across short, medium and longer casting distances.
SV BOOST uses two-stage braking: strong control at the beginning of the cast suppresses spool overrun, after which braking is reduced to extend the final part of the cast. The 34 mm G1 duralumin spool is designed for precise, effortless casting especially with lighter to medium-weight lures.
HYPERDRIVE DESIGN combines HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR, HYPER DOUBLE SUPPORT for the pinion gear, a full-aluminium HYPER ARMED HOUSING and HYPER TOUGH CLUTCH. The machined, rigid housing reduces play and keeps the drive system aligned under load.
The ATD drag includes a clicking drag that provides audible feedback as line leaves the spool. Zero Shaft supports free spool rotation and Zero Adjuster simplifies the base setting. The SV 100 weighs 265 g, uses 6.3:1 gearing, retrieves 67 cm per turn and provides 6 kg maximum drag. Daiwa?s Japanese specification lists a 90 mm handle for the 100 size.
