Pompero Light Brown

Pompero has become almost a synonym for salmon dry fly fishing in Finland. For many seasoned salmon anglers, this is the only dry fly needed when heading up to Northern Norway, Kola Peninsula or Finnish Lapland – from small grilse streams to huge rivers like Tana. Usually served on the dead-drift with Plan B being applying some drag for faster movement. This variation is tied with a denser hackle than the classic recipe – many prefer the additional volume and floatation. Tied on a Partridge CS42 hook.
