Bauer Waterpushing Pike Fly

Bauer Waterpushing Pike Flies are pike flies originally created by Niklaus Bauer to push as much water as possible. They were inspired by the Miuras Mouse, familiar from lure fishing. The flat foam disc and the sturdy bucktail head in front together with the Dragon tail in the rear make it easy for predatory fish to pick up the vibrations from a long distance. Fish it with a slow, rolly polly style retrieve with long pauses where you just let it hang. If you want it to drop more, just thread some weight on the leader.
