The idea of the Tokyo Rig is to keep the lure off the bottom: thanks to the dropper arm, the weight touches the bottom but the lure does not. An excellent rig especially for crayfish imitations and worms. You can drag or hop the jig along the bottom and it stays in constant motion.
The Tokyo Rig comes with a very sensitive swivel already attached, so your jig moves freely around the dropper arm. The hook is naturally a high-quality VMC, so you do not need to worry about its sharpness or durability.
The hook is threaded through the belly of the soft bait so that it can be hidden. Because the hook stays hidden in the back of the soft bait or crayfish, you can fish very dense vegetation.

Excellent especially for perch and zander.

Add a bullet weight or a ball weight to the dropper arm. Once you have placed, for example, a bullet weight on the wire, bend the tip of the dropper arm closed so that the weight can move along the wire but cannot fall off.
