Rope Turning Post "Vänkäri" is an excellent tool for winter fishnetting, preventing the pulling rope from jamming between holes and allowing the net to be checked from the same position. When approaching the nets, simply open the inspection hole without needing to go to the end hole at all.

The loop under the ice serves as a turning point for sinking ropes. The cross pin ensures that the Vänkäri stays in the hole until it freezes in place. In late winter, sunlight will melt the Vänkäri free from the ice.
