Pig Shad Tournament is the latest addition to the Pig Shad product family and is equipped with a grooved back and belly, which is perfectly suited for offset hooking, for example with an Owner Beast 8/0 hook, but of course, you can fish with a screw head or a normal jig screw and rig. The Pig Shad Tournament has the swimming motion familiar from the larger Pigs, which attracts even the most timid pike or zander to strike.
1. Treble Hook - BFT Shallow Stinger Single Rig # 1/0 (stainless steel or titanium) This is the most common rigging for rubber of this size. First, attach the jig screw and then push the rigging spike or hook barb into the belly of the rubber. This rigging allows you to achieve the best hooking percentage.
2. Wide-gaped offset hook - Owner Beast Twist Lock # 8/0 (regular or weighted) With this rigging, you can fish where you didn't think it was possible to fish. This rigging allows you to cast into the densest vegetation, where normal rigging is not feasible. The Pig Shad has a notch in the back where this hook fits perfectly. Choose the unweighted model if you want to fish shallow or the weighted model if you want to fish a bit deeper.
3. For deep water - The first two options are easy to rig and are suitable for both beginners and advanced anglers. Both methods are mainly suitable for shallow water. A traditional jig head with a large hook is a very quick and easy way to reach deeper edges, and the BFT Flexhead Pike is also a great option.
