Simms Tributary Stockingfoot Basalt MS

Simms Tributary Stockingfoot Basalt are breathable and waterproof men's stockingfoot waders designed for active fishing and versatile wading use. The strength of the Tributary series is its practical construction, which combines breathability, mobility and abrasion resistance without unnecessarily complicated features.

The upper of the waders is made of 3-layer waterproof and breathable polyester, while the lower, which is more exposed to wear, uses a stronger 4-layer construction. This keeps the upper body area lighter and more mobile, while the legs get more protection when wading and moving through terrain.

Stockingfoot construction means that the legs end in integrated, anatomically shaped neoprene stockingfeet, which are used with separate wading boots. The neoprene stockingfeet have an antimicrobial treatment. Separate wading boots allow the user to choose the boots and sole type according to their own fishing environment and needs.

The built-in gravel guards at the bottom of the legs are pulled over the wading boots. The elastic bottom hem helps keep the guards in place and reduces gravel, sand and other debris getting into the wading boots. This makes moving easier, especially on rocky shores, gravel bottoms and in flowing water.

The chest features a reach-through, fleece-lined handwarmer pocket that protects your hands in cool conditions. It is combined with a zippered storage pocket for small fishing accessories and an integrated fly patch, so frequently needed gear stays within easy reach while fishing.

The included 38 mm wide wading belt helps keep the waders securely around the body. The adjustable suspenders make it easier to adapt the fit to the user and to the clothing worn underneath. When choosing the right size, consider your largest body circumference, inseam length and stockingfoot size.

Simms wader size designations combine body size, leg length and, in some options, a roomier King fit. The basic sizes are S (Small), M (Medium), L (Large), XL (Extra Large) and, in larger options, 2XL, 3XL and 4XL. Without a separate length designation, the size has a Regular fit, i.e. a normal leg length.

Short in the size means a shorter leg length. For example, MS means Medium Short and LS Large Short. Correspondingly, Long means a longer leg length, so for example ML means Medium Long and LL Large Long. Short and Long options make it easier to find the right size when the body size is correct but the normal leg length does not suit the user.

King fit means a roomier body fit within the corresponding basic size. For example, MK means Medium King and LK Large King. The King version offers more room in the body circumference without automatically increasing the leg length to match the next actual size. If a size combines the King and Short designations, it has a roomier body fit with a shorter leg.

Numbers shown with stockingfoot models, such as 7-8, 9-11 or 12-13, indicate the size range of the neoprene stockingfoot, not the body size of the waders. When choosing a size, Simms recommends checking first your largest body circumference, then the length measured from crotch to floor, and finally the stockingfoot size. Not all size, length and stockingfoot combinations are available in all models.
