Shimano Curado M 200

Forged from over 30 years of Curado performance and durability, the new Curado 200 M inherits the latest Shimano reel technologies to provide enhanced castability with heavier lines and lures in any power fishing situation. Expanded line capacity comes without compromise as the Curado 200 M now leverages Shimano's MagnumLite (MGL) Spool III to reduce start-up inertia for unparalleled casting performance, especially when targeting trophies with large paddle-tail swimbaits, big jigs, deep-diving cranks, oversized frogs, Carolina rigs or umbrella rigs. The addition of SilentTune technology improves spool quietness during casts. SVS Infinity technology provides precision casting performance with easy-to-manage and consistent spool control and brake force adjustments when faced with demanding conditions or switching between baits. The aluminum HAGANE Body provides added rigidity to increase cranking power and overall reeling efficiency, while MicroModule Gear, Cross Carbon Drag and X-Ship deliver the tournament-tested smoothness, durability, and versatility for which the Curado family is known. Expanding on Curado's reputation as a do-everything reel, Shimano redesigned and refined the versatile Curado 200 M to be all about big casts on big line with big baits for one thing — big fish. 

Shimano Curado 200M specs:

• Hagane Frame: The forged Hagane frame ensures the reel's reliability even under heavy stress. For the operation of the mechanism and the entire reel, it is crucial that the frame does not bend in any fishing situation
• Micro Module Gear: A main gear, cold-forged from pure aluminum, with very small teeth, minimizes gear friction and, consequently, reduces clearance to a minimum. The small teeth keep the gears engaged at all times, significantly improving the reel's sensitivity and feel. This can only be achieved by Shimano!
  
• X-Ship: Shimano's X-Ship feature means that the critical parts of the mechanism are precisely supported at both ends. This gives you plenty of power and torque, noticeable when you're battling record fish!
  
• Lightweight Magnumlite (MGL) III Spool: The spool starts rotating easily, making it easy to cast lures!
  
• Silent Tune: Reduces vibrations in the reel during retrieval.
  
• SVS Infinity Casting Brake System: Consisting of four centrifugally operated brake blocks. The brake blocks can be adjusted via a quick-opening side plate and also via an external fine-tuner. Each brake block can be engaged or disengaged. This brake system offers a very wide adjustment range.
  
• CI4 Material: A perfect blend of carbon fiber and polyamide. Almost as strong as metal but still lightweight due to the composite's nature. CI4 material is used in the body and rotors of Shimano reels.
  
• Cross Carbon Drag: Shimano Cross Carbon drag plates ensure consistent braking force throughout the entire range of the drag system and also allow for a very wide range of drag force adjustment.
  
• S3D (Shimano Stable Spool Design): A new type of spool design reduces spool vibration during casting, further enhancing the fishing feel.
  
• S A-RB Bearings: Made from stainless steel, A-RB bearings have a harder surface than regular bearings, reducing rolling resistance. Additionally, this bearing type is much more corrosion-resistant than steel. Moreover, S-type bearings are sealed, preventing dirt from reaching the bearing.
  
• Super Free System (SF): Designed to reduce spool friction during casting. In the SF system, the pinion gear is supported by a ball bearing, resulting in less friction during casting. Additionally, the pinion gear and spool shaft are perfectly aligned with each other.
