The Rapala X-Rap Twitchin' Shad is a small, lipless jerkbait. Jerkbaits are usually large and used for pike fishing. Thanks to its size, the Twitchin' Shad significantly expands the range of uses and target species of a jerkbait - it is on the menu of both perch and trout! And of course it works for pike too, especially in shallow water. It is worth offering to big pike when they are not biting - when big lures do not work, a small, quick and "strange" appearance may open the mouth of a big female pike.
This light lure can be cast with, for example, perch and trout rods, which also makes pike fishing exciting even if the catch is not in the meter class. The Rapala X-Rap Twitchin' Shad jerkbait can be fished with a straight retrieve or a stop-and-go technique. You can make it swim from side to side ("walk the dog") by twitching the rod, i.e. by giving the lure rhythmic speed with the rod tip.
