Fishing lures dived from river bottoms by Mikko Soikkeli. One product for sale means one dived spinner or other small lure. Almost all lures have been equipped with new sharp hooks. All lures for sale have been manually inspected and confirmed to be in working condition.
Fishing waste removed from bottoms and lures back in use
Ruoto employee Mikko Soikkeli cleans the bottoms of popular fishing spots annually from fishing waste. The work involves removing especially lures, lead, and other materials left on the bottom that do not belong in the water bodies. Mikko's favorite spots are the Tornio River and Merikoski located in Oulu.
The lures found from the bottoms of water bodies are refurbished, and the proceeds from them enable the continuation of this important work in the coming years. At best, over 400 kilograms of lead have been collected from one fishing spot in a single day, and in the best year, over 2000 lures have been rescued from river bottoms for reuse. This is a concrete example of how the contribution of one person can significantly mean both cleaning water bodies and returning usable products back into the hands of fishermen.
