The Blue Smart IP65 Charger is the new professional battery charger with built-in bluetooth. The Blue Smart IP65 Charger can be used on devices in your workshop and on motor vehicles, such as (classic) cars; motorbikes; boats and camper-vans. One of the biggest advantages of Victron chargers is their suitability for practically all battery types, such as lithium, lead-acid, gel and AGM batteries. The only exception is Rebelcell lithium batteries, which should always be charged with Rebelcell's own chargers.

• The Victron IP65 12V 10A is in practice a fully waterproof charger. It has a plastic housing, which makes it a so-called home charger, but it can also be placed in a boat as long as it is not directly exposed to external pressure. The 10A is suitable for all lithium batteries from 20Ah up to 125Ah. Also suitable for Victron and Optima BlueTop AGM batteries.

The battery is charged, smartly... to perfect condition
The seven-step charging algorithm gets the best out of your battery. The charger gives the battery the power it needs, maintains its health, ensures better performance... and a longer life.

Recovery of deeply-discharged 'dead' batteries
Unlike other brands, the Blue Smart IP65 Charger will attempt to recharge a deeply-discharged battery by force-feeding it with a low current. Normal charging will then be resumed as soon as there is sufficient voltage across the battery terminals.

Connect the battery with ease
The charger comes with both crocodile clips and M8 eyelets - making it easy to connect to the battery. If you wish, you can leave it permanently connected.

Check the status of your battery remotely
The Blue Smart IP65 is equipped with built-in Bluetooth, so the status of the charger and the battery can be checked on a smartphone, tablet or laptop. All settings of the charger can be configured with the VictronConnect app.

High-efficiency "green" battery charger
With an efficiency of 95%, these chargers generate four times less heat than the industry standard. Once the battery is fully charged, power consumption drops to 0.5 watts, five times less than the industry standard.

Durable, safe and silent

• Low thermal stress on the electronic components.
• Protected against dust, water and chemicals.
• Overheating protection: the output current is reduced as the temperature rises, but the charger continues charging up to a temperature of 60 degrees.
• The chargers are completely silent - no cooling fans.

Reconditioning (lead-acid, gel and AGM batteries)
A lead-acid battery that has been insufficiently charged or left discharged for days or even weeks may be destroyed by sulphation (lead sulphate formed during discharge recrystallises). If the battery is connected to the charger in time, sulphation can in some cases be partly prevented by charging the battery with a low current and a higher voltage.

Recovery function for fully discharged batteries (lead-acid, gel and AGM batteries)
Most chargers with reverse polarity protection do not detect a battery that has been discharged to zero or almost zero voltage and therefore do not start charging. The Blue Smart charger first tries to charge a fully discharged battery with a low current and continues with normal charging once the battery terminal voltage has risen high enough.

Storage mode: less corrosion of the positive plates (lead-acid, gel and AGM batteries)
Even a low float charge causes corrosion of the positive plates. If the battery remains connected to the charger for more than 48 hours, it is essential to lower the charge voltage further below the float charge level.

Temperature-compensated charging (lead-acid, gel and AGM batteries)
The optimal charging of a lead-acid battery depends inversely on temperature: the lower the temperature, the higher the charge, and vice versa. The Blue Smart charger measures the ambient temperature during the test phase and compensates the charge accordingly. The temperature is measured again when the charger is in float or storage mode. Special settings for cold or hot ambient temperatures are therefore not needed.

Li-ion battery function
The Blue Smart charger uses a special charging algorithm for Li-ion (LiFePO4) batteries, with automatic reset of the Li-ion voltage protection.

Set up, explore and configure your Blue Smart IP65 charger via your smartphone. You can view the status of your charger and battery and control the charger's functions with the VictronConnect app. By default, the display shows the voltage and current reading.
