Patriot Marine Venepeitteen Tukisarja is an easy-to-install support set for holding up a boat cover or protective tarpaulin during seasonal and winter storage. Its purpose is to create a steeper ridge in the cover so that rainwater, leaves, snow and other debris are less likely to collect in the middle.
The system uses a lightweight aluminium centre pole with stepless height adjustment from approximately 90 to 160 cm. This makes it possible to adapt the cover angle to the boat and the cover being used. The set is intended for boats of approximately 3-8 metres, and its universal design suits many common boat types.
Included fastening straps can be attached to suitable points such as cleats, rails or other secure boat structures. Metal adjustment buckles and strong metal hooks help tension the system and keep the cover supported. The set is particularly useful when a cover would otherwise sag and form a pocket where water or snow can accumulate.
A correctly installed support system helps the cover work as intended, but it does not remove the need for normal winter-storage maintenance. Accumulated snow should be removed from the cover without delay to avoid unnecessary loads on both the cover and support structure.
