Seamlessly integrates MotorGuide Xi Series motors with sonar GPS steering technologies.
With the MotorGuide Pinpoint Gateway data cable, you can control your MotorGuide bow-mount trolling motor from your Lowrance display. You can set the trolling motor to follow routes or move it to a desired waypoint. For example, if you see a fishing spot or fish arches on your fishfinder, you can set the trolling motor to move the boat on top of the fish. You can easily save routes and use them with the trolling motor. For example, you can drive around a desired pike area and tell the trolling motor to follow the route at the desired speed, while you keep fishing without worrying about steering. From the Lowrance display it is easy to control speed and direction. You can set the trolling motor to hold a certain heading, so that the boat keeps moving in the desired direction.
You always need an NMEA 2000 network in the boat. New boats often have one already, but in most cases you will need to acquire an NMEA 2000 network. The easiest way is to get an NMEA Starter Kit, which includes one T-connector for the trolling motor and a 4.5m extension cable, one T-connector for the display from which you control the trolling motor, and one T-connector for power. After that the network is ready, and you can add more displays or other components to it if needed, such as steering.
