Sordin Supreme X2 Headband Leather Black is a low-profile active level-dependent earmuff designed for hunting, shooting, tactical operations and demanding professional use. The black leather-covered headband, level-dependent sound amplification, 3.5 mm AUX connection and button-operated functions make this model versatile and easy to use.

High-quality electronics relay ambient sounds and help the user hear warning signals, vehicles and important announcements, for example. The audio output level is limited to 82 dB, and the fast recovery time restores normal sound immediately after a gunshot. Memory Foam ear cushions improve comfort even during extended use.

Sordin Hear2 sound profiles can be selected using the buttons on the side of the earcup to suit the intended use. Hunter is a hunting and general-purpose mode suitable for a wide range of applications. Shooter is a shooting range mode that helps the user focus on performance by reducing distractions from surrounding events. It is also recommended when using earplugs together with the Supreme X2 in Dual Protection mode.

Focus provides high amplification and a wider frequency range, allowing even faint sounds to be heard clearly. The mode can be used with earplugs for additional protection. Ambient Off disables the hear-through function while keeping AUX communication active. This provides passive hearing protection for situations requiring concentration.

The slim earcup design is suitable for both right- and left-handed shooters, eyeglass wearers and use with a firearm stock. With standard Memory Foam ear cushions, attenuation ratings are SNR 29 dB and NRR 23 dB, as well as H 32 dB, M 27 dB and L 20 dB. When used in Dual Protection mode with Sordin SoftEar earplugs, attenuation increases to SNR 40 dB and H 38 dB, M 38 dB and L 36 dB. Dual Protection measurements were conducted using M/L-size earplugs.

The 3.5 mm AUX connection can be used with an external audio source or communication device, such as a hunting radio, two-way radio or mobile phone. Voice feedback indicates active functions and low battery level. Automatic power shut-off turns the unit off after four hours to conserve battery power.

The durable electronics are protected against moisture by several layers of protective coating, while waterproof microphones support reliable operation. Essential components are waterproof to IP67 protection rating. The earmuff operates in temperatures from -32 °C to +55 °C and meets the requirements of CE EN352-1, EN352-4 and EN352-6 standards, as well as RoHS and WEEE environmental requirements.

The supplied one AA 1.5 V alkaline battery provides an operating time of approximately 60 hours. With the optional Sordin Power 14500 rechargeable 3.7 V battery, operating time is up to 90 hours. The earmuff weighs 309 g with the headband. The manufacturer-stated maximum service life is 10 years, and the warranty against material and manufacturing defects is five years.
