Magpul DAKA Soft Case SR44 is a water-repellent and weather-resistant rifle case designed to protect firearms and equipment during transport, range trips, and hunting. Lightweight, flexible, and durable, this case is suited for situations where low weight, quick accessibility, and versatility are important.
The case?s semi-rigid construction is made from Magpul?s proprietary DAKA Grit material. The material consists of a 600D TPU-coated face layer and a TPU backing layer, joined with RF-welded seams. The construction protects equipment from weather, dirt, and wear while retaining the case?s flexibility. Its fully opening lay-flat design makes packing and handling firearms and equipment easier.
Two external YKK Aquaguard zippers are designed for demanding use. The pulls feature 550 cord reinforced with heat-shrink tubing for a secure grip. The exterior also includes an RF-welded ID card and identification panel, as well as a dot matrix grid for marking and identifying the case.
The MOLLE-style slotted base inside features five included, repositionable DAKA Gear Straps. These can be used to secure a rifle, MOLLE-compatible pouches, and other equipment. The four elastic mesh pockets in the lid hold up to a total of eight PMAG LR/SR GEN M3-size magazines, up to PMAG 25 LR/SR GEN M3 size.
Small accessories can be stored in a zippered mesh pocket, while a large document pocket accommodates permits, targets, user manuals, and other important papers. The highly configurable interior helps keep the firearm, magazines, accessories, and documents separate and easily accessible.
For carrying, the case has two fixed carry handles and two side-mounted attachment points that fold away for storage. An optionally purchased sling can be attached to these points using QD sling swivels, Paraclips, MASH Hooks, or similar connectors. The case is also sized to fit inside the Magpul DAKA Hard Case R44 when the hard case?s DAKA GRID has been removed. This provides the additional protection of a hard outer shell during transport while allowing the lightweight soft case to be used at the destination.
