Kahles K540i Refined 5-40x56i SKMR4+ CCW Right

Kahles K540i Refined 5-40x56i SKMR4+ CCW Right is a premium FFP riflescope from Austrian manufacturer Kahles, built for PRS, competition and long-range precision shooting. With a true 8x zoom and a 5-40x magnification range, the same scope handles both fast target acquisition at closer distances and precise work on distant targets. The 56 mm objective and 36 mm main tube deliver a bright image and generous adjustment range, and according to the manufacturer the optical performance remains uncompromised across the entire magnification range.

The Refined version gives the K540i redesigned turrets with 10 MRAD per revolution (100 clicks, 0.1 MRAD per click). The round-number revolution is easy to keep track of, so adjustments are quick to make and verify even under time pressure in competition. The EasyRead scale is clear to read from the shooting position, the Revolution Indicator shows which turn you are on and ZeroStop returns the elevation reliably to zero.

The K540i is based on Kahles' new VisionFlex optical design. According to the manufacturer, it offers a 40% wider field of view than the K525i at 25x and a remarkably generous eyebox. In practice, targets and impacts are found faster, and a full sight picture is maintained even in awkward and unstable shooting positions typical of PRS stages.

The illuminated SKMR4+ reticle is located in the first focal plane, so its MRAD subtensions stay the same at every magnification. Holdovers, wind corrections and range estimation can be done directly with the reticle without magnification-specific calculations. The illumination is powered by a CR2032 battery.

On this version the windage turret is on the right and the adjustment direction is CCW. TwistGuard protects the windage turret from accidental rotation. Total elevation adjustment is 29 MRAD and windage adjustment 12 MRAD. The top-mounted parallax adjustment works from 20 m to infinity and is easy to reach from the shooting position.

The scope is built for hard use: it is waterproof according to ISO 9022-8, 409 mm long and weighs 1115 g. Eye relief is 92 mm, exit pupil 7.7-1.4 mm and field of view 10.2-1.3 m / 100 m. The objective has an M58 x 0.75 thread for filters and accessories.
