Guide Outdoor TN Binoculars Gen2 TN650MS is a multispectral thermal binocular that combines 640 × 512 thermal imaging with a 4K-resolution digital visible-light image channel. Thanks to two separate image sensors, the same device is suitable for locating thermal targets as well as identifying targets and their surroundings in greater detail under varying lighting conditions.
The thermal channel is based on a 640 × 512 @ 12 µm thermal sensor. Alongside it, the TN650MS uses imagery produced by a 3840 × 2160 @ 2 µm 4K CMOS digital sensor. The combination of two imaging channels is the TN650MS's key difference compared with conventional thermal binoculars: the user has access to both a thermal image and a digital visible-light image in the same device.
Viewing is provided via a 0.49-inch 1920 × 1080 AMOLED display. Guide Outdoor's Hyper-Light image enhancement algorithm optimises the image by improving detail visibility, contrast and noise control. This allows the thermal channel to be used for quickly detecting animals, while the digital channel can be used for more detailed observation of the target or surroundings when lighting conditions permit.
The TN650MS also features a 1,500-metre laser rangefinder, GPS and a digital compass. These allow the distance and direction of an observed target to be determined directly with the viewing device, without a separate rangefinder.
The ergonomic binocular design is suitable for extended observation. One-handed focusing and multifunction controls make it easier to operate in the field. Auto Screen-Off saves power and reduces unnecessary display light, while AI Tracking helps track moving targets.
