Gerber Ultimate Survival Fixed SE FSG

Gerber Ultimate Survival is a multi-function survival knife that brings together the most important basic tools of wilderness skills in one compact package. The knife is designed for demanding field use, where the equipment must handle many tasks and function reliably even when conditions change unexpectedly.

The drop point blade is partially serrated, which considerably expands its uses. The plain section handles precision cutting work and food preparation, while the serrated section bites effectively into rope, straps, roots and branches. On the back of the blade is a fire-starting edge, which can be combined with the ferrocerium rod carried in the sheath to produce sparks. Starting a fire is therefore possible without separate tools, even if matches or a lighter have got wet or been lost.

The handle is ergonomically shaped and coated with a textured rubber coating, which provides a firm grip even in wet, cold or muddy conditions. At the end of the handle is a metal hammer surface, which can be used to drive tent stakes into the ground or break a window in an emergency. The lanyard cord has an integrated emergency whistle, the sound of which brings help from a considerably longer distance than shouting.

Sheath with multiple functions

The knife's sheath is more than just protection for the blade: integrated into it are both a sharpening stone and a ferrocerium rod. With the sharpening stone you keep the blade in working condition even on longer trips, and the ferrocerium rod enables fire-making together with the back of the blade. The sheath keeps the tools organised and in the same package, so everything essential is always within reach.
