Gerber Paraframe I Tanto Black

Gerber Paraframe I Tanto Black SE is a lightweight folding knife for everyday use. The knife combines the functionality of a full-size folding knife with a compact size: folded it fits in your palm, but when open you have a nearly 7.6 cm long tanto blade at your disposal.

The tanto blade is designed with a strong, angular point that withstands piercing and pushing cutting tasks especially well. The tanto style has traditionally been valued in both tactical use and demanding work tasks where the blade point needs to be durable. A partially serrated blade increases the knife's versatility – the plain section handles precision tasks, and the serrated section bites effectively into rope, webbing and other tough materials.

The blade is finished with a black titanium nitride coating that reduces reflections and protects the blade from corrosion. The dark finish also gives the knife a considered appearance. Opening is done conveniently with one hand using the thumb studs on the blade. The frame lock locking mechanism holds the blade firmly in place during use, and the blade only opens when the lock is intentionally released.

The handle is made of stainless steel and its open frame structure makes the knife light and easy to clean. The weight is only 85 grams. A sturdy pocket clip keeps the knife securely in a trouser pocket or belt loop, so it travels with you discreetly until needed.
