Delta Titanium 4-16x42 AO MilDot is a lightweight and compact general-purpose riflescope for hunting, small game and range shooting. The 4-16x magnification range provides enough magnification for small targets and more precise aiming, while the 42 mm objective and 25.4 mm main tube keep the scope clearly lighter than larger 50-56 mm models. The manufacturer-specified weight is only 460 g.
The MilDot reticle is located in the second focal plane, so its apparent size remains unchanged when magnification is adjusted. The reticle is not illuminated. The MilDot scale can be used to estimate distance to a target of known size and for elevation or wind holds when the reticle subtensions are known at the magnification being used.
The AO parallax adjustment around the objective allows parallax to be adjusted from approximately 10 metres to infinity. This also makes the scope practical at shorter shooting distances, for example on rimfire rifles and airguns, while the 16x top-end magnification still provides enough detail for small targets at longer ranges.
Field of view is 8.7 m / 100 m at 4x and 2.3 m / 100 m at 16x. Eye relief is approximately 80-82 mm. Delta specifies total light transmission of approximately 92 percent for the Titanium optics, and the lenses are multi-coated to reduce reflections.
The adjustment turrets are low-profile and capped. One click equals 0.25 MOA, and total elevation and windage travel are both 40 MOA. The scope is nitrogen-filled and waterproof, and the manufacturer specifies impact resistance up to 4000 J. Length is 355 mm.
