Delta Javelin 4,5-30x56 SMR-1 is an FFP riflescope designed for long-range precision shooting and PRS use. It combines a wide 4.5-30x magnification range, a 56 mm objective and the MRAD-based SMR-1 reticle. The 34 mm main tube, generous adjustment range and locking turrets make it an attractive option for shooters who want one scope for both training and demanding competition use.
The SMR-1 reticle is located in the first focal plane, so its proportions in relation to the target remain constant when magnification is changed. The reticle features markings in 0.2 MRAD increments and a tree-style lower section for fast elevation and wind holds without having to dial every correction on the turrets. Illumination in the centre helps the aiming point stand out in lower light.
The adjustment system is based on MRAD. One click equals 0.1 MRAD and one full turret revolution provides 10 MRAD of adjustment. The total elevation and windage adjustment range is 32 MRAD. The elevation turret includes ZeroStop, making it quick and unambiguous to return to zero even after several revolutions of elevation have been used.
Parallax adjustment runs from 25 m to infinity, making the scope useful from shorter training distances through to long-range shooting. Eye relief is 100 mm and the field of view at 100 m is 8.2-1.3 m depending on magnification. The 56 mm objective and ED glass elements support detailed image quality, especially at higher magnification.
The scope is nitrogen filled and, according to the manufacturer, waterproof and shock resistant up to 6500 J. The Javelin weighs 1036 g and is 388 mm long. Its 34 mm main tube provides a robust structure and ample usable elevation range for long-range shooting.
The package includes a CR2032 battery, sunshade, magnification throw lever and metal flip-open lens covers. This reduces the number of basic accessories that need to be purchased separately and makes the scope more ready for use straight from the box.
